“Young people should strive for their goals”: Venkaiah Naidu – The New Indian Express

VIJAYAWADA: Young people today are visionaries and if all their ideas and plans come to fruition, it would develop the nation tremendously, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said on Friday. He gave a special lecture entitled “Development of leadership qualities” at the Vignan de Guntur University.

Stating that India plays a central and exemplary role in the world, Naidu urged students desiring leadership positions to work on discipline, character and ability. He also invited them to join active politics.

He said students should take education seriously and be independent, confident, positive and constructive. Vignan Group President Dr. Lavu Rathaiah said all students should instill leadership qualities and overcome any obstacles that stand in their way of progress.

He urged students with limited resources to be optimistic and confident. He asked them to aim for leadership positions instead of just jobs. Later, Venkaiah Naidu congratulated the students selected for an internship at Amazon with a monthly stipend of 80,000.
