Takht Hazur Sahib refused to use gold collected over the past 50 years to build a medical college and hospital

One of the five takhts of Sikhism, Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchal Nagar Sahib of Nanded in Maharashtra, announced on Monday that all the gold collected over the past five decades will be donated to open a medical university and a large-scale hospital .

The gold will be used to provide medical supplies to hospitals. The past few days have seen an oxygen shortage across the country. Many have been killed because of it. Even then, several gurdwara management committees came forward and organized a supply of free oxygen.

During the Corona period, many Gurdwara management committees across the country had organized everything from food to beds and oxygen to help people. One day ago, the management committee of Shiromani Gurdwara opened the Covid care center in the hall of Gurdwara Sri Bhatt Sahib in Rupnagar. The center was inaugurated by Akali Dal Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee Chief Jagir Kaur on May 23.

Previously, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, chairman of Delhi Gurdwara management committee, said the langar service was started on behalf of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib due to the increasing number of locked out and corona patients. The family of Corona’s victim, who cannot make their own meals, cannot even afford to eat.

Tiffin langar are delivered to their homes. In this regard, Delhi Gurdwara Samiti has also launched a hotline number. Families who want tiffin langar at their home can contact Delhi Gurdwara Samiti by phone number. The committee will arrange for the langar to be delivered to their home.
