The youth care specialist informed management and, after reviewing the surveillance footage, it was confirmed that the incident had occurred, officials said. Miami-Dade Schools Police responded and took Richardson into custody.

Police say Richardson admitted the victims’ allegations and was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he was charged with two counts of felony, sexual assault of a minor by an adult and misconduct sex of a detention center employee with an inmate.

Girls can stay in the facility from nine to 36 months.
