Srinagar, November 22 (KNS): Lt. Governor, Jammu and Kashmir UT, Manoj Sinha will inaugurate the annual Kashmir University Youth Festival “Sonzal-2022” on Wednesday (23 November 2022).
The LG, who is the Honorable Chancellor of the University, will be the guest of honor at the inaugural session to be held at the University’s Convocation Complex.
Sonzal, organized by the Department of Student Welfare, is the popular youth festival that attracts students from the University’s main and satellite campuses, in addition to its affiliated colleges, to showcase their talent and give free lesson in their creative abilities. The Festival began in 2007 and continues to be a platform for students to exchange ideas, sharpen their skills and further develop their passion for extracurricular activities.
The Sonzal-2022 will see the participation of more than 2000 students in 25 competitions in the fields of art, culture, literary activities, fine arts and music.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nilofer Khan, the Chief Patron of Sonzal, thanked the Chancellor for consenting to inaugurate the festival. She sent her best wishes to the students participating in the eight-day event.
The winners of the various competitions will participate at the level of the northern zone and further to the national level competitions. (KNS)
