NNN: The Lagos State Government (LASG) has been providing support to young people for their investment ideas and innovations, through various platforms.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2021 Batch, Stream 1 Passout Parade held at his Orientation Camp, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos on Thursday .
4,707 NYSC members concluded their service with the parade.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Sanwo-Olu was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Mr Sesan Ogundeko.
According to him, the government is focused on giving young people all the support they need to unleash their innovative and creative skills.
He applauded the lot for successfully completing the one-year mandatory service in their homeland.
“I commend you all for the diligence and hard work you put into ensuring you leave a worthy legacy.
“Your roles during your community development programs have been overwhelming, our Badagry, Onigbongbo Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers has seen your volunteerism and commitment to people.
“Our National Sanitation Program has also witnessed your commitment to keeping Lagos clean. It is for these acts of humanity and service that I want to praise and congratulate you for completing this phase,” he said. she declared.
Baderinwa said the graduating members of the corps had been well equipped to meet the challenges they might face after the year of service, thanks to various skills and life-changing programs organized for them.
She said that in addition to SAED programs and funding options, arrangements have been made with Jobberman and Grand Oak, to interview graduate members of the corps for certain openings in their ranks.
Baderinwa urged them to seize opportunities to get gainful employment and start their immediate future on a solid foundation.
