Emirates News Agency – Federal Youth Authority Mubadala to harness reboot of popular cartoon ‘The Adventures of Mansour’ to inspire future generations in media and content production

ABU DHABI, 16th November, 2022 (WAM) — The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) and Mubadala have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bidaya Media to operate the new rebooted series of the popular Emirati cartoon, “The Adventures de Mansour: The Age of AI.” The partnership will inspire future generations in media and content production through a wide variety of youth-focused activities.

FYA and Mansour’s producer, Bidaya Media, will target young people in the UAE through workshops where young people will have the exciting opportunity to channel their inner creativity and learn how to create high-quality media production and content, provided by the world-class talent behind ‘The Adventures of Mansour Cartoon.

UAE-wide roadshows showcasing new content from the rebooted show will take place throughout 2023 with the aim of reaching UAE national and expatriate children aged 4-12. In parallel, FYA and Bidaya Media will visit local youth centers and summer camps to share their knowledge and experience in developing and producing high quality Arabic content. This will serve to inspire young people in the UAE to increase their participation in creative careers and sow the seed of innovative ideas for future productions.

“The Adventures of Mansour” is a popular show among local children, and has over two billion views on YouTube, three million subscribers and 300 million hours watched, and 25.2 million unique viewers. in the last 90 days only. The new, rebooted series aims to build on that success and is set to launch in 2023. It has enhanced production values ​​and aims to raise awareness of the values ​​that represent the UAE both locally and internationally, focusing on tackling issues of international importance such as AI, the role and reliance on technology, climate change and space exploration.

Originally created to appeal to Arab children and encourage a healthy lifestyle, cultural appreciation and interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), the show exceeded its creator’s expectations. original and award-winning Rashed Alharmoodi to capture the imagination of children throughout the Middle East region and beyond.

The series targets children aged 6-12 and is funded by Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) and the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) as part of their efforts to support the creation of content for children that support inclusion, culture and the Arabic language.
