The EAD Inspectors-Auditors Ladders carried out on-site inspections in eighteen (18) public bodies from 04.10.2021 to 15.10.2021. In particular, six (6) central departments of the ministries were audited, one (1) Region / PE, one (1) Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education, one (1) Directorate of the Regional Unit of Primary education of education, seven (7) Communes and two (2) Public Financial Services of the AADE presence.
During the audit, it was found that the inspected organizations had taken the necessary measures for the implementation of the mandatory measure of diagnostic control of the disease in their employees and the control of the correct entry of the necessary data in the Greek State Human Resources Register.
The vaccination rate in the establishments visited by the Authority’s inspectors-auditors varied from 52.6% to 89.6%. Unvaccinated employees provided a physical presence service by presenting a diagnostic certificate. Three (3) employees did not comply with the obligation to perform a diagnostic test and the competent departments followed the prescribed procedure to impose a fine. In the case of one (1) employee, a total of three (3) fines were imposed for non-compliance with the measure.
The Authority’s inspectors-auditors carried out sampling tests via the Covid Free GR application on a total of 295 employees and the vaccination, disease and negative diagnostic test certificates were deemed valid.
Detailed rates of vaccination or illness of employees of establishments:
Ministry of Justice: 71.6% had a valid vaccination or illness certificate (156 out of a total of 218). An official had not performed a diagnostic test since the measure began and the procedures for imposing fines had been followed.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 80% had a valid vaccination or illness certificate (691 out of a total of 865). An employee had not performed a diagnostic test for the current week and the procedure for imposing the administrative fine had started.
Ministry of Development and Investment: 89.6% had a valid vaccination or disease certificate (443 out of 494)
Ministry of Immigration and Asylum (asylum services tested): 66.7% had a valid vaccination or illness certificate (102 out of a total of 153 employees from the 4 departments tested)
Ministry of Rural Development and Food: 82% had provided proof of a valid vaccination or disease certificate (1,342 out of a total of 1,641 agency employees in services across the territory and 84 out of a total of 105 in the central service visited by the inspectors-auditors)
Ministry of Tourism: 82% had a valid vaccination or illness certificate (133 employees out of a total of 162)
Peloponnese Region, Laconia Regional Unit: 80.5% had a valid vaccination or disease certificate (99 employees out of a total of 123)
Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of West Greece: 87.5% had demonstrated a valid certificate of vaccination or illness (28 employees out of a total of 32)
Department of Primary Education in Achaia: 88.6% had demonstrated a valid vaccination or illness certificate (39 employees out of a total of 44).
Municipality of Heraklion, Crete: 79% had a valid vaccination or disease certificate (1306 employees in total 1857)
Municipality of Thessaloniki: 76% had demonstrated a valid vaccination or disease certificate (79 out of a total of 104 employees from the 2 Directorates who were checked)
Municipality of Egialia: 52.6% had presented a valid certificate of vaccination or disease (179 out of a total of 340). The audit is not carried out by the relevant human resources department through the Greek State Human Resources Register and during the on-site audit the presentation of the diagnostic tests of 13 employees for the current week was waiting.
Municipality of Neapolis-Sykea: 72% had presented a valid vaccination or illness certificate (356 employees out of a total of 496, including 12 elected)
Municipality of Kordelio-Evosmos: 68.3% had presented a valid vaccination or illness certificate (583 employees out of a total of 854)
Municipality of Pavlos Melas: 63% had presented a valid certificate of vaccination or disease (567 in total 902). In said municipality 1, an employee had not complied with the obligation and a total of 3 fines were imposed for failure to comply with the obligation to perform a diagnostic test.
Municipality of Volos: 72% had presented a valid vaccination or illness certificate (679 out of a total of 943). An on-site inspection was carried out in two buildings in the municipality of Volos (in one building are the town hall, collective bodies and financial services and in the other are mainly administrative services).
Patras A: 78.6% had presented a valid vaccination or illness certificate (66 out of 84).
Rethymnon Tax Office: 76% had presented a valid vaccination or illness certificate (38 out of 50).
