Sanitary sewer overflows in Oshkosh, amount of leak currently unknown Tue, 15 Jun 2021 21:01:47 +0000

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – City workers are still determining how much sewage overflowed from a sanitary sewer in Oshkosh days after the incident.

According to city officials, the sanitary sewer overflow occurred on E. Waukau Avenue near the Old Orchard Lane intersection last weekend.

A statement regarding the incident was sent shortly after 4:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

In the same statement, officials indicate that the amount of the leaks is still being determined.

However, they say it does not appear that any sewage has reached the storm sewer system or Lake Winnebago.

City officials say the overflow was released from a broken force pipe, which they say has now been fixed.

Although a citizen reportedly reported the leak, city officials did not say when the report was made, saying only the overflow occurred on the weekend of June 12 and 13.

They say containment, clean-up and repair of the broken pipe began as soon as they identified the sanitary sewer discharge had occurred.

Oshkosh officials say the repairs were carried out by city crews and an additional contractor was hired to help manage the sewage during the repairs.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has also been notified of the incident.

Currently, city officials add that no further action is required.

“The program will last for five years and we are targeting all girls in secondary schools. Suba North is one of the constituencies with a high number of teenage pregnancy and pedophilia cases, ”Ochieng said.

Speaking at the launch of the exercise at Rusinga Girls’ Secondary School in Mbita on Sunday, Ochieng said they were also involved in efforts to reduce the prevalence of HIV among adolescent girls.

Aeroméxico launches on the European market taking advantage of the relaxation of health measures Wed, 09 Jun 2021 18:49:17 +0000

Given the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, several countries have closed their borders as a preventive measure against infections. After more than a year of this situation, the European Union will gradually open its borders to foreigners, including Mexicans.


From June 9, 2021, all Mexicans who wish to tour this destination will be able to access the country. Mexico is considered by health authorities as one of the “orange countries”, therefore the following conditions must be met for admission:

  • Complete vaccination schedule, this means they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The vaccines accepted by France are those recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA): Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.
  • PCR test for COVID-19 carried out 72 hours before arrival in France, or an antigen test carried out 48 hours in advance.

Aeromexico currently has five scheduled weekly flights between Mexico City and Paris-CDG by Boeing 787-9 with a capacity of 274 passengers, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. For July, the schedule of a daily flight is respected, increasing the seat supply by 40%.


The Spanish government has lifted some of its restrictions and created a list of countries allowed to enter its territory for tourism reasons.

For entry and permanence, a vaccination certificate must be provided certifying that travelers have completed the program at least 14 days prior to their arrival in Spain. The vaccines accepted by the Spanish government are those authorized by the European Medicines Agency or the World Health Organization.

These new measures entered into force on June 6, 2021. It is important to stress that it will not be necessary to carry out a quarantine or to present additional evidence to visit Spanish territory.

Between Mexico City and Madrid, Aeroméxico has scheduled 10 weekly flights in June, which will become 14 in July, which represents a 40% increase in the supply of seats.

The company will also make five to seven weekly flights from the Mexican capital to Amsterdam. Both routes are served by Boeing 787-9s.

WSSP begins immunization of 4,500 health workers Tue, 08 Jun 2021 21:31:25 +0000

PESHAWAR – Peshawar Water and Sanitation Services (WSSP) on Tuesday began vaccinating 4,500 health workers against COVID-19.

More than 250 health workers were vaccinated on the first day while the rest would receive vaccines during the current week. The zone managers prepared lists of personnel under their supervision which were shared with the office of the deputy commissioner for the supply of vaccines.

WSSP Human Resources Director Saqib Nawaz is appointed as the focal person to coordinate with the district administration in this regard.

Hassan Ali, spokesperson for WSSP, said health workers have been working on the front lines since the outbreak of the pandemic and are exposed to COVID-19.

“Although the company purchased personal protective equipment for its field staff at the start of the pandemic, vaccination is essential to protect them against the epidemic,” he said. Health workers are vaccinated at Khyber Medical University, Nishtar Hall and Maulvi Ameer Shah Memorial Hospital. Zone managers are responsible for ensuring that every staff member is vaccinated.

WSSP CEO Inspects Sanitation Operation: General Manager Dr Hassan Nasir visited different locations in the city and inspected the sanitation operation on the second day of the 14-day sanitation campaign.

He visited the Muslim city of Shaheen, Paharipura, Shaheedabad, Kambuh, Phandu Road, Gulbahar and Dilzak Road.

He was accompanied by Director General (Ops) Riaz Ahmad Khan and Zone Directors Amir Gul Khattak and Tariq Aziz. He praised the efforts of sanitary workers and managerial staff and asked them to ensure the cleaning
